Community Resource Center Updates – July 26, 2021

In this week’s Community Corner newsletter:

South King County Health Fair: The first annual South King County Health Fair is coming up Friday, July 30 from 12 PM – 4 PM and Saturday, July 31 from 10 AM – 2 PM. The health fair will feature HealthPoint, NAMI SouthKing County WA, Amerigroup, Community Health Plan of Washington, Veterans’ Services, and more, and is presented by Cascade Behavioral Health Hospital. Visit to learn more about:

  • Community mental health resources, healthcare and health insurance options
  • Resources for veterans, seniors, and families
  • Mental health and substance abuse treatments

There will also be a raffle, snacks, and giveaways! The fair will be held at Cascade Behavioral Health Hospital in South Tukwila. For more information, call (844) 359-7228.

Pandemic Aid to Current and Former Foster Youth: Treehouse is partnering with the Department of Children, Youth, & Families (DCYF) to distribute $1.65 million in pandemic relief funds to foster care alumni between now and September 30, 2021. Eligible young adults will receive direct cash payments of up to $1,000. Funding can be used to help pay for anything related to housing, basic needs, transportation, education, employment, and much more.
