Hon. Pooja Vaddadi Sworn-In For First Judicial Term on Seattle Municipal Court Bench

On Monday, January 9, 2023, Hon. Pooja Vaddadi was sworn-in for her first judicial term on the Seattle Municipal Court bench. Judge Vaddadi was elected in November 2022 for a four-year term, January 2023 – January 2027.

Prior to joining the Seattle Municipal Court bench, Judge Vaddadi practiced law for seven years serving as a public defender with Northwest Defenders Division (NDD) of the King County Department of Public Defense, where she practiced in Seattle Municipal and King County Superior Courts. She also practiced as a public defender in Snohomish County, as a private criminal defense attorney in the greater Seattle area, as a judicial extern with Justice Alison Tucher (CA First Appellate District), and as corporate in-house counsel at DocSend (CA). Judge Vaddadi is an Adjunct Professor at Seattle University School of Law where she teaches Legal Writing II.

Judge Vaddadi replaces Judge Adam Eisenberg. The Honorable Willie Gregory, Anita Crawford-Willis, Faye Chess, Damon Shadid, Andrea Chin, and Catherine McDowall were also sworn in for four-year judicial terms.
