In this week’s Community Corner newsletter:
- As a reminder, recipients of SNAP food benefits will see their monthly allotment decrease in March 2023 due to the end of pandemic-related federal funding. To learn ways to potentially stretch benefits, qualified individuals may visit Washington Connection or call 1-877-501-2233.
- Join Public Health at the Community Resource Center on Monday/Wednesday from 9 AM to 12 PM to learn more and sign up for a new, annual pass program that allows qualified riders to travel on select transit in our region with subsidized fares as a result of a partnership between King County Metro and Sound Transit. Learn more here.
- The application for the Working Families Tax Credit is now open! Qualified individuals and families may be eligible for a tax credit of $1200 if they lived in Washington for at least 183 days and are eligible to claim the federal Earned Income Tax Credit on their 2022 return.
