Community Resource Center Reopens July 14

Beginning July 14, the Community Resource Center at Seattle Municipal Court will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The CRC offers bus tickets, emergency food bags, long-life food boxes, COVID-19 hygiene kits, clothing, and information and referrals to social services. On-site providers and services include:

  • MPS Lifeline: Free phone with unlimited minutes and text, 25 GB data for 12 months for low-income individuals. On-site Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Ideal Option: Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals with substance addiction. On-site Mondays and Wednesdays, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • YWCA: Charity care, eye and dental care, referrals to health clinics and substance use disorder treatments, health coverage, DSHS application assistance. Available virtually Mondays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on-site Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • King County Public Health: Basic food assistance, ORCA Lift Card, DSHS application assistance, health coverage. On-site Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) will continue to remotely assist CRC clients with food, cash and medical benefits, Housing Essential Needs (HEN), ID replacement, child support, and mental health and addiction services. Available virtually Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We also offer free workshops for court clients through Seattle Goodwill, including:

  • Finding the Right Job for You
  • Applying with a Conviction History
  • Healthy Living
  • Making Your Money Count
  • Navigating Community Resources

Classes are 2 to 3 hours long, virtual or in-person, and participants earn a $25 Goodwill giftcard.
