New Seattle Ticket Debt Reduction Hearings starting February 3, 2022

Starting February 3, 2022, Seattle Municipal Court will offer hearings for people who are low-income and can’t afford to pay their debt from overdue Seattle parking, traffic, or camera tickets.

These hearings are an opportunity for people with ticket debt to speak with a court magistrate to request to reduce their fines and remove their tickets from collections. This new program is intended for anyone who is unable to pay their tickets, including vehicle residents, people who receive federal or state assistance, and people who can’t afford to register their vehicles.

Hearings will be held by telephone every Thursday from 11 AM-1 PM. Participants can register online or by calling (206) 684-8747, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM- 4 PM. Learn more and sign up for a hearing on the Seattle Municipal Court website.
