- The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program provides eligible King County seniors with fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers markets. Learn more and apply online here.
- King County Animal Services is looking to hire full-time Animal Care Technicians whose duties will include cleaning, feeding, watering, and monitoring animals at the Center, among other tasks. This position is through the King County Jobs & Housing Program, which provides career preparation, housing and support services, and temporary employment for people experiencing homelessness. The position pays $20.40 to $25.98/hr. Fill out an interest form here.
- The Downtown Emergency Service Center’s Clinic at Hobson Place offers primary care, support and advocacy for our community’s at-risk and vulnerable individuals. The new Lew Middleton Drop-In Center is also open to all DESC clients who are enrolled in a mental health or clinical program at DESC. Clients prioritized for support are those working to transition into stable housing—people who are unhoused or unsheltered. Services are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 216 James Street, Seattle, WA 98104.
- Are you a spouse, adult child, relative or friend helping a loved one with a chronic illness or disability? King County is hosting a 6-week program once per week that offers caregivers the opportunity to learn new strategies for self-care, emotional balance, coping skills, and confidence.
