Presiding Judge Faye R. Chess and Probation Manager Jason Grant will discuss successes and insights from the Court’s three-year Probation Evolution Project, which focused on improving client outcomes and addressing disproportionate impacts on women and people of color.
This project was informed by evaluative reports from the Vera Institute of Justice and the Seattle City Auditor, feedback from interested parties, and guided by community engagement using Seattle’s Racial Equity Toolkit.
